Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MatchForge Discord bot and the website at matchforge.site (together, the "Service"). By adding MatchForge to a Discord server or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

MatchForge is a Discord bot that helps communities organize pickup lobbies, collect signups and RSVPs, and generate balanced teams through slash commands inside a Discord server. The Service is provided free of charge and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to use Discord in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. By using MatchForge you represent that you meet this requirement and that you comply with Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, abuse, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others, or to distribute spam or malicious content.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without prior written permission.

Server administrators are responsible for how MatchForge is configured and used within their servers, including which members may run its commands.

4. Data and Privacy

To function, MatchForge processes limited Discord data such as user IDs, server and channel IDs, and information you voluntarily submit through its commands and forms (for example, a battletag or role preference). This information is used solely to operate the Service — such as tracking lobby signups and generating teams — and is not sold to third parties. You may request deletion of data associated with you or your server by contacting us at the address below.

5. Availability and Changes

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that team balancing or other outputs will meet your expectations.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MatchForge and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
