This Privacy Policy explains what information the MatchForge Discord bot and the website at matchforge.site (together, the "Service") collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. MatchForge is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc.

1. Information We Collect

MatchForge collects only the data needed to operate its features:

• Discord identifiers — user IDs, server (guild) IDs, and channel IDs associated with lobbies, ready-ups, and commands you use.
• Information you submit — details you voluntarily enter through the bot's commands and forms, such as a battletag, role preferences, and RSVP status (IN / MAYBE / OUT).
• Lobby and session state — signups, team assignments, and related activity needed to keep a lobby working while it is active.
• Website analytics — the matchforge.site website uses Google Analytics to collect aggregate, non-identifying usage statistics such as page views and general location.

MatchForge does not read the general content of messages in your server, and does not collect passwords, payment information, or other sensitive personal data.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

• Operate core features — creating lobbies, tracking signups and RSVPs, and generating balanced teams.
• Maintain the state of active lobbies and sessions.
• Diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the reliability of the Service.

3. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising. Information submitted through the bot (such as team assignments or signup lists) is displayed within the Discord channel where you use it, and is therefore visible to other members of that channel. Data may be processed by infrastructure and analytics providers strictly to host and operate the Service on our behalf.

4. Data Retention

Lobby and session data is kept only as long as needed to provide the feature and is routinely cleared once a lobby or session is closed or becomes inactive. Identifiers may be retained for a limited period for operational and abuse-prevention purposes. When MatchForge is removed from a server, associated data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable timeframe.

5. Your Choices and Rights

You can stop all data collection at any time by removing MatchForge from your server or by not using its commands. You may also request access to, or deletion of, data associated with you or your server by contacting us at the address below. We will respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required to use Discord in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below that age. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service operates on top of Discord and relies on Google Analytics for website metrics. Your use of Discord is governed by Discord's Privacy Policy, and website analytics are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
